Visit 6 Sarasota Artists At Their Studios
Friday, March 13, 2015 & Saturday, March 14, 2015
10:00 am to 4:00 pm each day
Enjoy the unique opportunity of visiting 6 Sarasota area Artists at their homes and studios. Explore their studios and view their art. Meet the artists and learn about their techniques. A wide selection of art works will be available to purchase. Our Galleria at the Diane Roskamp Exhibition Hall is located in the Ulla Searing Student Center at Ringing College of Art and Design. It will feature the art work of 13 additional artists. You may begin the tour at any location.
This annual two day art tour is a one-of-a-kind event featuring hundreds of works of art by well established working artists in Sarasota County. It takes the viewing of art away, if only for a day or two from the art gallery and museum, to that of the artists’ home and studio. Many of the artists have had their work represented by local galleries and have participated in state and national art exhibitions and art competitions.
The studio artists for the tour are: Cassia Kite, Pat Kaufman, Joshua M. Johnson, Judy Lyons Schneider, Eleanor Merritt, and Taylor Robenalt. The Ringling College of Art & Design’s Diane Roskamp Exhibition Hall will showcase the art work of the following Galleria Artists: Jorge Blanco, Ruth Höök Colby, Kathleen Collins, Howard Cowdrick, Renee Davis, Esther K. Jensen, Katherine Kaya, Ellen Kaiden, Mary Mitchell, Meg Pierce, Kathy Wright, Vladislav Yeliseyev, and Rebecca Zweibel. The Galleria is located at 2700 N. Tamiami Trail and will be open on March 13th, and 14th, from 10:00 am to 4:00pm. The Ringling’s Madeby Gallery will offer a fine selection of student and alumni art work available to purchase.
Tickets for the tour can be purchased in advance for $20.00 directly on our web site www.fineartssarasota.com . We also list additional ticket outlets. Tickets are $25.00 at the door.
